Pics Of The Week - Photobombing Animals

If you haven't heard the phrase "photobomb" before, we'll give you a quick vocabulary lesson. A photobomb is when a person or group of people get into a picture right before it's taken, usually in the background, without the people having their picture taken knowing. However, some photobombs are more obvious, especialy when animals are involved.

Take a look at these funny shots of animal photobombers, getting in the way of their owners' (and fellow pets') photos, featured on BuzzFeed.com's list of "Great Animal Photobombers Of All Time".

Of all the pictures we see on Pinterest, some of our favorites are always the pictures of real animals with their stuffed twins. We can't help but say "Awwww!" when we see one of these images, so we decided to round up some of the best and share them with you!

The Best New Species Of 2012

Did you know that scientists discover 15,000 to 20,000 new species every year? It seems a little hard to believe, since there are already 8 million existing species known. The International Institute for Species Exploration recently listed their top, most interesting new species of 2012 - check out a few of our favorites.

The monkey that sneezes when it starts to rain

The monkey's nose is so upturned that rain causes it to sneeze. To avoid inhaling water, they sit with their heads tucked between their legs.

The blue tarantula

This jewel-toned tarantula, which hails from Brazil, might be the prettiest tarantula we've ever seen (not that it means we actually want to see it in person).

The banded box jellyfish

As deadly as it is beautiful, this jellyfish was first sited in 2001 but a specimen wasn't captured until 2008. It is one of approximately 50 box jellyfish species.

The Sleeping Sloth

Did you know that sloths get about 10 hours of sleep each day? Although it might sound like a lot to us humans, it's not the most amount of sleep in the animal kingdom. What's different about the sloth's sleep habits is HOW they sleep. That is, hanging upside down.

In fact, sloths spend the majority of their time hanging from trees, eating and even giving birth upside down, so sleeping upside is just part of the routine. Some sloths even remain hanging from limbs after they've died!
