Shocking Pink Dragon Millipede (Desmoxytes purpurosea)Aptly named for its bright pink colour, the shocking pink dragon millipede is spiny, toxic and considered quite dangerous. At 3 cm in length, it is among the largest species in its genus. Beyond it's unusual eye-catching colour it gives off an almondlike scent associated with the cyanide production that occurs in their defensive glands. As beautiful and fragrant as they seem, steer clear as they can shoot cyanide from their mouth!
